A planned youth health-equity and leadership pathway for middle school, high school, and early-college students in South Florida. Explore health careers, find mentors, and turn ideas into community action.
WHAT WE’RE DEVELOPING
Four areas will guide our student programming, with schools, youth organizations, and mentors helping shape a thoughtful, age-appropriate experience.
Meet the possibilities in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, research, healthcare administration, and more through career exposure and mentorship.
Explore how transportation, housing, food, insurance, language, and policy shape people’s health and their ability to find care.
Practice storytelling, public speaking, teamwork, civic engagement, and community advocacy. Your perspective has a place in the conversation.
Work in a student team to identify a local health challenge and design a practical, community-informed solution.
A PILOT WE’RE SHAPING
Proposed pilot · Enrollment not open
We’re exploring a four-to-six-session cohort where students learn about health equity, connect with mentors, and develop a community health project.
The proposed final showcase would bring students together with families, clinicians, public-health leaders, and local partners to share their ideas.
We’d love to hear from schools, youth organizations, healthcare professionals, universities, and potential mentors in Miami-Dade and Broward. Help shape the pilot and the support students need.
